A Good Match: Strategic Environmental Assessment and Climate Proofing - Practical experience and lessons learned

The Malian government has chosen to test the use of the Climate Proofing for Development (CP4Dev) approach developed by GTZ to integrate climate change into development planning and to adapt it to their needs. On behalf of Germany’s Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GTZ/GIZ is assisting Mali in the integration of climate change issues into planning at the project, national and sectoral as well as local levels. Activities at the various levels are closely interlinked.
